New Programs Being Used in Class - One Note & Windows Journal

We have been using various programs in our laptops that are new for us. Some of them are like One-note, Windows Journal, Snipping Tool, etc. Here is a snapshot of my One-note page, where i have organized myself very well:

Reflection On One-note:

I find One Note to be a very helpful program which enables me to organize myself very systematically, through its many features. I have created various sections with different colors, for all the subjects at school, and various pages within these sections to do my classwork. I have also made a 'home page' where i have put my timetable, and where i keep updating my homework and class requirements. Thus, One Note has really helped my systemize, manage and categorize my work very easily.

WINDOWS JOURNAL

Our class has been using other programs such as Windows Journal during many classes. Below are some Snapshots of some work we were doing in English class, using this program.

Reflection On Windows Journal:

I find Windows Journal also to be a very useful program, which allows us to write in tablet mode, as though we are writing in a book. Its many features include highlighting, writing in tablet mode, a variety of colors for both the pen and the highlighter and importing files from a variety of other programs. All in all, Windows Journal seems to be an incredibly helpful device which enables us to use it in place of a book, and more easily.

VOICE THREAD PRESENTATIONS - 'MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES' AND 'DIFFERENCE MAKE US STRONGER'

REFLECTION ON VOICETHREAD PROJECT

During this unit in IT, I learnt about the various types of Multiple Intelligences - how they benefit us and how they are disadvantageous for us. I also learnt about how differences make us stronger and how they benefit the mankind. In fact, I also learnt about how a debate is set to be and about a very useful website called 'Voicethread.com'.

The whole class first made individual presentations on 'Multiple Intelligence' and 'Differences Make us Stronger'. Next, we were all to be put into groups, and my group was to prepare for presenting a debate about the existence and the pros of 'Multiple Intelligence'.

Several people in our class were also participating in an international debate, where they were to present about the same topics against a team in another country, throughVoicethread.com. Voice-thread helped us to post our power-point presentations on the internet, with our voice recorded in the back, explaining the presentation.

After making the debates, we were to post our first individual videos on our wikispaces. And then, finally, we were to show these individual presentations to our parents, who would then comment and remark on them.

Overall, this project was very easy and interesting to be doing, as I learnt many new things about technology, that i had never known of.
